Member Volunteer Obligation

We can keep our costs low because members volunteer a portion of their time to run the organization while they’re looking for work. Members volunteer to run Forty Plus including its sales, marketing, development, career development, IT/systems, and finance functions.

Members are encouraged to use their skills and talents to keep Forty Plus moving forward. For example:

•Your IT skills can be put to use in helping us maintain our network of computers.

•Writers and designers may team up to develop marketing materials.

•Experienced professionals may lend their financial skills, managerial expertise, and human resources background toward running the office and helping others on their way back to employment in the corporate, non-profit, or public sector.

Whatever your profession, interests, or passion, everyone has something meaningful to contribute to Forty Plus of New York.

Fees and Dues

Forty Plus of New York provides job-search expertise, facilities, and support for a fraction of the fee charged by comparable, for-profit organizations.

In addition to a one-time initiation fee of $250.00, members pay just $120.00 per month. By any standard, that’s an affordable price tag - - - and worth every penny.

All revenues are used to support Forty Plus facilities and operations. Forty Plus is a non-profit. We exist solely through donations and member fees and dues.
